- Set the password. OKX asks for a mix of numbers, letters, symbols, and upper and lower case.
The country field is not a formality. OKX states that its services are offered by different entities across different jurisdictions, and that where you live decides which entity and which rules apply. Citizenship does not settle it; residence does.
For someone living in Brazil, the terms of service name OKX Serviços Digitais Ltda. as the Brazilian contracting company. That is useful for knowing who you are contracting with. It is not the same thing as a Banco Central authorisation.
Identity verification
OKX requires users to be 18 or older because of local laws and regulations, and says completing verification to meet KYC requirements is what raises deposit and withdrawal limits. Both come from its identity verification guide.
The document and selfie guide is specific about what gets a submission rejected:
- photos must be in colour and of the original document, not a screenshot, a photo of a photo, or a photocopy;
- every corner of the document has to be in frame;
- the document must be within its validity period and show the date of birth;
- in the selfie your face must be fully visible, without a mask, hat, or sunglasses, and the document must not cover your face.
OKX is plain about why the selfie exists: it is compared against the document to confirm the applicant is really you.

Depositing reais by Pix
This is the most concrete part, and the BRL deposit page spells it out:
- Sign in, go to Deposit, and select Brazilian real.
- Read the instructions and note the CNPJ number and the recipient name. The Pix key is OKX's CNPJ, and the recipient is OKX Serviços Digitais Ltda.
- In your banking app, paste the CNPJ as the Pix key.
- Confirm that your name and CPF match the ones on your OKX account.
- Complete the transfer and wait.
Three numbers that change the decision:
- Five reais minimum. Deposits below that are refused and returned to the bank account.
- Instant. OKX says a Pix transfer is processed instantly and the balance shows within minutes.
- Up to 15 days. Send by TED or DOC instead of Pix and the deposit comes back, with a return that can take fifteen days because it needs manual review.
If the CPF or name on the bank account differs from your OKX registration, the deposit is refused and returned. Do not use a relative's account.

Start at the minimum. Deposit five reais, watch the balance land, and only then make the first purchase. On the confirmation screen, read the total in reais rather than the percentage.
